Dr. Christopher Leo is a lead faculty member at the College of Business who teaches Applied Business Technologies and Strategic Management. He holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Management from UCF. Find out more about Dr. Leo in his faculty spotlight.
Dr. Leo organized our very first IB Alumni Networking Event. It took place at UCF’s Executive Development Center in downtown Orlando on October 4th, 2019, at 6 pm. Dr. Leo said, “many of our alumni returned and shared their life and career updates with us. We had over 55 IB Alumni attend, with seven faculty members… It was a great event, and one that we will definitely be continuing.”
My fellow IB Digital Squadmate, Shelly Singh, and I attended this event together. We not only networked and connected with faculty and alumni while enjoying hors d’oeuvre and wine, but we also learned more about different aspects of our lives, aspired our alumni’s current careers, and received priceless advice about our future. I hope this will become an annual event. It’s rewarding to see that UCF is more than just an educational institution; it cares. In other words, the faculty at UCF, especially big shoutouts to our IB faculty, genuinely care about the future of their students. I encourage anyone interested in expanding his/her network or seeking life/career advice to participate in any future event!
