Global Business Analysis Challenge Spring 2025

The wait is over! This week marks the launch of the Global Business Analysis Challenge of the spring 2025 semester. The challenge brings together 526 students from five universities around the world, including UCF, in an exhilarating test of strategy, insight, and global collaboration.

The challenge is spearheaded by UCF IB’s very own Dr. Sara Lopez and is delivered within the structure of GEB4451 Business Climate Analysis, which is one of the required courses of the Integrated Business major in the College of Business at UCF. Along with Dr. Lopez, the Global Business Analysis Challenge is coordinated by the following faculty members:

Dr. Patricia Marquez, Universidad del Norte  – Barranquilla, Colombia

Dr. Juan Fernando Garrido, Universidad Javeriana de Cali – Cali, Colombia

Dr. Lorena Rodriguez, Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey  – Guadalajara Campus, Mexico

Dr. Malgorzata Marchewka, Krakow University of Economics – Krakow, Poland

This semester’s client company is Nestlé. Students will dive deep into Nestlé’s external environment through a PESTEL analysis, uncovering how the company can navigate global threats or seize new opportunities.

The are organized into 116 teams, representing over 15 nationalities. As the competition unfolds, expect to witness groundbreaking ideas, dynamic perspectives, and a powerful showcase of global business acumen. Stay tuned—because this semester, the world is their boardroom! 🌎🔥
