IB High School Competition 2020

On Friday, February 7th Integrated Business hosted 54 students from 5 area high schools in a day of skill building and competition. High school students were assigned to teams with students from other schools. The teams spent the morning getting to know each other through team building exercises and learning about marketing, PESTLE analysis, and presentation strategies from some of our Integrated Business student trainers. This project was conceived, planned and led it by Professor Shelly Maccini. Professor Jennifer Morin led the “train the trainer” portion of the event – teaching our IB students how to be mentors. Professor Cristian Alecse organized a training for the high school teachers. Professors David Penn, Frank Tamberelli, Gordon Henry, and Leslie Connell led the teacher training sessions. Faculty members joined seven IB alumni as judges in the afternoon competition. This was a win-win-win for our IB students, the high school students, and the high school teachers.
GO IB!!!
