KAPM – New Student President

The Knights Association of Project Management (KAPM) is proud to highlight Alexis Occhuizzo, an Integrated Business student and the organization’s newly elected president. Alexis recently stepped into the spotlight by leading a hands-on workshop on Jira project management software, giving students a closer look at one of the most widely used tools in the industry.

What makes Alexis’ leadership stand out is her professional experience. This past summer, she worked full-time at Lockheed Martin’s national headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, serving in a project management role. She brought that expertise into the workshop, showing attendees how global organizations rely on Jira to manage complex, high-stakes projects.

KAPM student organization is committed to preparing UCF students for success in project management by providing hands-on learning, professional development, and leadership opportunities. Regular workshops showcase how the organization blends real-world tools with peer-led insight, giving students both technical skills and industry perspective.
